Job Description:

The Nuclear Medicine Tech is a healthcare specialty that requires a keen interest in computer technology and using radioactive medicine to treat disease. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is a highly specialized professional who works closely with the nuclear medicine physician, and involves the following: preparing and administering radioactive chemical compounds, performing patient imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation, accomplishing computer processing and image enhancement; also: analyzing biologic specimens in the laboratory, as well as providing images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation as well as assisting in developing an appropriate care plan for each patent.
